Harness your imagination to create your best life

`The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’ – Eleanor Roosevelt

When you think about life, it really is like a blank canvass ready for creating something wonderful. You can tap into your imagination to help you discover the endless possibilities of what you want on that canvas. Tapping into your imagination relies on both being aware of your habits and how you operate in life plus your willingness to change those habits if you want to create your bet life.

The use of visualisation and affirmations are a powerful way to help you harness your imagination positively. With regular practice in turning positive feelings and thoughts into actions, you can train your subconscious to achieve your preferred outcomes. You can use visualisation and affirmations to tap into your subconscious and explore what resources are available to attain your goal.

Creative visualisation

A valuable technique to harness your imagination into visualising where you actively create your success by visualising the results in your mind. By regularly visualising these mental images you send a message to your subconscious mind that your goals can be achieved.

In creative visualisation you use all your senses (sound, smell, touch, sight and taste) to bring in an emotional element to your goal. This can allow you to visualise how you will feel once that goal is achieved, such as: peace, gratitude or inspiration. However, If your goals are difficult to visualise, then the goal you have chosen may not be in your best interest – aka not what your heart desires.

Affirmations

The words you use can be powerful in helping your achieve your goals. An affirmation is a positive statement written specifically for the achievement of your chosen goal. Choose your affirmation carefully, aligned to your goal, so that you encourage your subconscious mind to believe that the outcome is achievable.

When used regularly, affirmations can change negative thoughts into positive ones that energise your mind into believing that you can achieve what you set your mind to. There is only one rule when it comes to creating and affirmation, they must be positive and in the present tense.

Practice cultivates imagination

As you practice, you will be able to see more clearly how easily your goal can be attained and even how you can guide your actions into working towards their achievement. As you imagine your achievement of the goal on a consistent basis, your subconscious mind absorbs it as becoming a reality. As soon as your mind makes this connection then your intuition can guide you towards the steps needed to reach your goals. Your positive beliefs that you can achieve your dreams will support your imagination of what you desire that life to be.

Using creative imagination

It takes time to visualise your desired life so slowing down and giving yourself the time and space you need is essential. While multitasking is useful in life, it is not productive when you are using your imagination to visualise the life you desire. Your subconscious mind flourishes and integrates with the conscious mind when you are relaxed. This is when your imagination and intuition are free to dream freely.

Setting aside fifteen minutes for visualisation, morning or evening, is a useful activity to help you get into the habit and prioritise your goals and what you would like to see in your life.

Trust in your imagination and its ability to guide your intuition towards your goals.
