Spring equinox: for healing, reflection and new opportunities

Spring – a new season and new beginnings. We know that the arrival of spring means new life, plants grow, baby animals are born and flowers bloom again after lying dormant through winter. Spring is where new life emerges from the earth. We begin to see more daylight than darkness signalling the start daylight savings time. In the southern hemisphere the days getting longer as we head into summer.

However, September is also when the Spring Equinox occurs, on Friday 23 September 2022 to be precise. The spring equinox is the perfect time for new beginnings and setting goals for the next season of your life. The perfect time for tapping into the energy emerging from the Earth in the form of inspiration, motivation and finding balance in your life.

Day and night are equal signalling a balance in not only the world but in your life.

During the spring equinox take time to reflect and create the change in your life that our need to grow and become the person you truly want to be. Exploring new interests, hobbies, changing careers, starting a family, or simply just investing in your wellbeing – the changes are endless of what you may want to do during this period.

It is also important to remember that wherever you choose to focus your time and invest your energy, should also align with your values.

Setting goals and intentions works well in a clutter free space and spring is the perfect time to spring clean – not just the house, but your life and energy.  As you clear out the energy that no longer serves you, there will be space to take in the new things you want to bring into your life.

During this time, you can also work towards finding peace and spiritual direction from nature’s natural rhythm. Practice a walking meditation barefoot where you can physically connect to the Earth’s magnetic core is beneficial for your wellbeing.

However, while the spring equinox is a great time for a seasonal cleanse of the mind, body and spirit. Don’t forget that when you do set goals, you should remember to introduce healthy habits to help you stay motivated and keep you on track to achieve those goals.
