Mindfulness is about focusing your attention on the present moment and accepting it without judgement. It is an easy tool in your mental toolkit you can use to relieve stress at any time.
Mindfulness meditation can also be referred to as insightful meditation and enhances your power of observation with clarity. When you practise mindful meditation you develop an awareness of your inner mind state and surroundings.
You also develop sensitivity in each perceived moment to accept stressful situations instead of avoiding them. Through mindfulness you learn to train your brain to develop a sense of tranquility without distractions from the outside world.
Today, I have an exercise for you to practice just being present in the moment.
🧘♀️ The free guided meditation, imagery visualisation, has been designed to enhance your mindfulness meditation technique.
🧘♀️ So, get comfortable in your meditation space. Sit upright in a cross legged position with a tall spine on your cushion or chair.
🧘♀️ Focus on your breathing and become aware of your present thought patterns and observe them in a non-judgemental way. Allow those thoughts to float away like the soft, white clouds in the sky.
When you have completed your session, I would love to know how it went for you. Everyone experiences meditation differently, no one two sessions are the same because it is such a personal thing.
